Description: This original pen and ink and wash drawing portrays an older woman in a floral knee-length dress with her mouth wide open, leaning toward another woman wearing an abstract print knee-length dress yelling, “It takes a Yenta to know a Yenta.” Signed “Mulligan” on the lower right corner.
Drawn on an 8 ½” x 11” sheet of ivory paper. Item #FA00472
James Mulligan (1920- ?) was a veteran New Yorker cartoonist who published 501 cartoons in the magazine from 1952-87.
Condition: Light wrinkling, crease at lower right blank corner, a few errant spots. Generally good condition.
