It is a faithful, miniature interpretation of The Cumaean Sibyl by Domenico Zampieri, painted with the most deliberate and sensitive brushstrokes. The Cumaean Sibyl was the priestess presiding over the Apollonian oracle at Cumae, a Greek colony located near Naples, Italy. Item #FA00117.
Condition:The outer edge of the frame has been removed, the corners of the remaining frame are chipped with some older infilling in gold paint but the painting is in fine condition.
