Since 1975 Dennis Holzman Antiques has offered for sale a unique blend of historically significant items, traditional antiques and fine art, stylish objects, rare and out-of-print books, printed ephemera, manuscripts, and photographs. Most of our inventory is purchased directly out of local homes and is fresh to the market, a result of having built a reputation for honesty and fair purchasing practices.

Dennis Holzman Antiques offers a wide range of services including collection consultation, informal evaluations, and formal appraisals. Numerous individuals and institutions, including: The Albany Institute of History and Art, Sage Colleges, Schenectady Police Department, New York State Archives and Special Collections, The Hyde Collection, Fleet Bank, Union College, and The Canajoharie Library and Art Gallery have relied on Dennis Holzman Antiques for their appraisals.

Owner Dennis Holzman has been professionally affiliated with the Manuscript Society and the Ephemera Society for over 30 years, has lectured extensively on the history of photography and Americana (printed and manuscript), acted as research assistant for multiple publishing projects, co-founded a national auction company devoted to historical items, and has served as an Americana consultant to several major auction houses.

Dennis Holzman Antiques is located on Remsen St. in historic Cohoes, NY within walking distance of the Cohoes Music Hall, the Cohoes Falls, Erie Canal locks, the Harmony Mills historic district and the Cohoes Visitor’s Center.
