Description: This primitive oil on board is attributed (unsigned) to folk artist Walter Parkes (1889-1924). In his typical fashion he painted a rather flat two-masted ship with an unfurled American flag. He titled it at the lower edge: “Brig Emerald”.

15 1/2″ x 23 1/4″ framed in birdseye maple frame to: 17 1/2″ x 25 1/4″. Item #FA00476

Condition: A few errant scratches and some surface soil, generally very good condition.
