Description: Spanish-American artist Federico Castellon (1914-1971) was a print maker, painter, sculptor, and children’s book illustrator. He was a member of the National Academy of Design and the Society of American Graphic Artists.
This slightly surrealist etching depicts a mythological exchange between Hermes and Aesculapius (the Greco-Roman father of medicine). Signed "Castellon" and titled "Hermes, Hygeia, Aesculapius, Panacea" in pencil. Full margins; sheet measures 26" x 20". Item #FA00049
