Description: This well-executed sandpaper drawing is a view of Anthony’s Nose along the Hudson River… near the site of the current Bear Mountain Bridge. The view is populated with sailboats plying the Hudson and a lone fisherman in the foreground.
These drawings were often taken from print sources and this is no exception. It bears a close resemblance to Bartlett’s view of Anthony’s Nose. Drawing is initialed at the lower right: “SEW”. Sight size: 17″ x 22″. In a period frame to: 22″ x 27″. Item #FA00375
Condition: Scattered small spots, especially two in the sky area. Otherwise good condition (not examined out of frame).
