Description: This watercolor and oil painting on paper depicts an abstraction of a pair of small boats with masts, but no sails. It is dated and signed lower right: “Davidovitz”.

Gershon Davidowicz (1914-1988) was born in Poland, studied at the Berlin State Academy of Art and was one of the founders of Ein Hod Artists’ Village in Israel (with Marcel Janco and others). He won the Dizengoff Prize for painting in 1964 along with Reuven Rubin.
