Description: This subdued tonalist landscape oil on canvas features a row of trees following the line of a low stone wall. It is signed lower left: “Chas. Warren Eaton.”
Charles Warren Eaton (1857-1937) was born in Albany, NY and moved to New York City in his twenties to study at the Art Students League and the National Academy of Design. He was influenced by the work of George Inness, Leonard Octman, and Ben Foster. During his lifetime he won numerous awards from such prestigious art organizations such as the Salmagundi Club, Philadelphia Art Club, National Academy of Design, etc.

Condition: Relined, a few scattered spots of inpainting, generally very good condition.
