Description: This striking Orientalist etching in color is signed in graphite “H. Goffey” at the lower right margin.

Harry Goffey (1871-1951), painter and printmaker, studied at the Liverpool School of Art, the Herkomer School of Art and Chelsea Polytechnic. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, Walker Art Gallery (Liverpool) and the Manchester Academy of Fine Art. His works are in the collections of the British Museum.

Condition: A few scattered spots of foxing mostly in the blank margins, otherwise good condition.
