Description: A classic image of Marilyn Monroe from Bert Stern’s “Last Sitting” photographs… thousands of images shot six weeks before she died. This is often titled “Roses Body Shot”. It is a blue silkscreen printed on heavy gold foil stock.

Lower margin is editioned (251/300) and signed in black marker. Lower left corner has the blindstamp of the Circle Gallery.

Bert Stern (1929-2013) was a major American commercial photographer who specialized in celebrity and fashion images, many of which appeared in Vogue magazine.
