Description: This is a superb regionalist-style rendering of the fishing industry/docks in the East River during the 1930s/40s. George Picken (1898-1971) studied at The Art Students League in New York and his work was handled by the Frank Rehn Gallery (along with Edward Hopper, Charles Burchfield, Reginald Marsh, etc.).

Signed "Picken" in the plate, as well as in pencil lower right: "George Picken". This is #20 of an edition of 35. Image size 8 1/2" x 13". Lithograph printed on a 11 1/2" x 16" sheet of off-white wove paper. In its original card stock mat with title notations and price of $10. Item #PR00082.

Condition: There is light toning at mat window and print is hinged with two vintage stickers at the corner blank margins, otherwise good condition. A new mat would make this splendid.
