Description: This large bold oil painting on masonite depicts stucco/stone buildings at the water’s edge. Several sailboats lay idle in the foreground, seagulls and two figures provide motion in a sunlit Mediterranean day. It is signed lower right: “Mark Coomer” and labelled on verso with the artist’s informational sticker.

24″ x 36″ in its original rustic carved wood frame to: 33″ x 45″. A brass plaque affixed to the frame titles this: “The Quay-Simi Town.” Item #FA00446

Mark Allen Coomer (1914-2004), American painter and printmaker, spent most of his active years working in Arizona, though he often painted Mexican and Italian village scenes.

Condition: Fine untouched condition.
