Description: This superb impression of Cheffetz’ wood engraving is titled in graphite at the lower left: “Early Morning – (Buck Hill Falls, PA)” and signed in graphite at the right margin: “Asa Cheffetz”.

Asa Cheffetz (1897-1965) was a wood engraver whose studio was in Springfield, MA. He was a member of the National Academy and his works are in the collections of numerous prestigious art institutions, including: Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Art Institute of Chicago, Baltimore Museum of Art, etc.
