Description: We offer a hand colored lithograph by the British Ornithologist John Gould. “Stercorarius Pomatorhinus” or the Pomarine Skua from five volume The Birds of Great Britain , large folio, published in London from 1862 to 1873. It contained 367 lithographs colored by hand, printed by Walter from drawings by Gould, Joseph Wolf, H.C. Richter and Hart. The mat opening is 13 1/8″ x 19 1/8″ in a frame that is 21 5/8″ x 27 5/8″.
