Description: A wonderful impression of the 1941-42 presentation print of the Print Club of Albany by Ryder. It is a view of French Hill “under the slopes of the larger Mount Mansfield in Vermont”. It is signed in full in graphite at the lower right margin, “Chauncey F. Ryder”.
Platemark measures: 9″ x 12″ on a 14″ x 16 1/2″ sheet of deckle edge wove paper. Item #PR00672
Chauncey Foster Ryder (1868-1949), American landscape painter, began his training at the Art Institute of Chicago. He became a member of the National Academy, the Salmagundi Club and the American Water Color Society and his works are in the collections of numerous major art institutions.
