Description: We offer a striking original photograph of American stage designer Robert Jones at work at his drafting table… pen in hand, sketches strewn in front of him. He boldly signed in black ink at the upper left: “Sincerely Yours Robert Edmond Jones 1936”.

Robert Edmond Jones (1887-1954), American scenic, lighting, and costume designer, was very involved with the Provincetown Players including many of his friend Eugene O’Neill’s productions. His book The Dramatic Imagination (1941) was an important mid-century book on stage design.
