Hiram Peabody Flagg (1858-1937) was born in Somerville, MA and studied art at the Academie Julien in Paris. He spent most of his career painting in New England, particularly marine and harbor scenes. He was a member of the Boston Art Club, the Salmagundi Club and exhibited widely… including at the Whitney Museum of American Art in the 1920’s.
