Description

Description: This whimsical 18k gold ring which takes the form of a dragon-like fish was designed by Ilias Lalaounis. The underside of one of the fins has “750”, “A2” and one of Lalaounis’ oval cartouche hallmarks.

Ring is a 6 ½, but is constructed to be slightly adjustable. Total weight: 7.3 grams. Item #DA00451

Ilias Lalaounis (1920–2013) was a renowned Greek jeweler, born in Athens into a family of goldsmiths and watchmakers. During WWII, he took over the family business and began creating jewelry inspired by ancient Greek art and history. Lalaounis founded his own brand in the 1960’s and gained international acclaim for his innovative designs. His legacy is continued by his four daughters and the Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum.
