Description: Six months before the official opening of the Erie Canal this report strenuously proposes how “the navigation to Buffalo can be made… perfect through the basin at Black Rock.”

This original 2 1/2 page argument was printed on February 11, 1825 and signed in type by Samuel Young, Henry Seymour and William Bouck.

Condition: Hole punched in blank left margin, small loss at upper blank margin, scattered foxing, generally good condition.
