Description: This 1890 trotting horse breeding promotion given out by George Haner of Melrose, NY advertises the respectable lineage of the bay horse Melrose. The pamphlet states that “Melrose combines the blood of the four great trotting families, the Hambletonian, Mambrino Chief, Clay and Pilot, Jr. With such a rich infusion of the best blood, Melrose cannot fail of producing the best trotting stock.” The pamphlet also advertises the horses Primus and Bonté, two horses that were sired by Melrose.
 
Printed on folded thin cardstock that measures 5 ⅜” x 6 ½” unfolded. Item #AM00164.
 
Condition: There are a few inked annotations in the interior, otherwise in very good condition.
