Description: This splendid hand-colored large format engraving is titled in English and French: “A View of the Great Falls, on the Mohawk River”. It was part of the series: “Scenographia American, or a Collection of Views in North America and the West Indies” published in 1768. It was from a painting by Paul Sandby and engraved by William Elliot.

Image size: 12 3/4″ x 19 3/4″ on a 14 1/2″ x 20 1/2″ sheet of heavy laid paper. It is archivally matted and in a modern frame to: 21 3/4″ x 27 1/2″. Item #PR00634

Condition: Scattered light foxing visible in the sky, otherwise good condition.
