Description: This large elegant sculpture features a panther (or cheetah) outstretched on a limb with a baby panther reaching up from below. It is signed at the base of the branch: “Loet 7/750”.

Loet Vanderveen (1921-2015), a Dutch-born artist, worked as a fashion designer and ceramicist before moving to California and focusing on producing sophisticated and graceful bronze animal sculptures. His work is in numerous art institutions, including: Oakland Museum of Art, Crocker Art Museum, Cincinnati Art Museum, etc.

Condition: Wonderful patina and very good condition.
