Description: This striking oil on board is a cascade of portraits of four women. It is signed lower right: “Wassmer” and  titled on verso in a later hand: “Dancers.”

Theodore Milton Wassmer (1910-2006) studied painting at the Art Students League. His instructors included Yasuo Kuniyoshi, John Carroll, Sigmund Menkes and, later, Raphael Soyer. He spent much of his creative years with his artist wife, Judy Lund, living and working in Woodstock, NY.

Sight size: 7″ x 5″. Framed in a period gilded wood and linen frame to: 13 1/4″ x 11 1/2″. Item# FA00438

Condition: Very good condition, minimal loss of gilding on the frame.
