Description: This bold poster announces the 15th summer Olympic games held in Helsinki, Finland. Image features a statuesque male runner set against a portion of the globe with Helsinki highlighted, and the Pan American World Airways logo and typeface. Poster is signed in the plate by the designer F. Sysimetsia and printed by “Oy. Tilgmall Finlande”.

Measures 39″ x 24″ and is archivally matted and framed (with plexiglass) to: 47 1/2″ x 32″. Item #PR00535

Condition: There is a slight amount of wrinkling at the upper edge and the lower left edge, half a grain of rice-size hole at the top of the man’s head, and a pea-sized hole next to the yellow ring. It is quite clearly not backed or laid down, though we have not removed it from the frame.
