Description: In this brief autograph letter signed Alma-Tadema writes to a Mr. Dodgson in part: “We thank you very much for the game which came yesterday, and which I am sure we shall enjoy.”

Letter is written on a 6″ x 3 3/4″ sheet of stationery imprinted: “Townshend House, North Gate, Regents Park N. W.” Item #A01490

Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema (1836-1912), known for his paintings of the luxury and decadence of the Roman Empire, was one of the most financially successful painters of the Victorian era.

Condition: Mailing fold lines, mounting residue on verso top is slightly visible on recto. Generally good condition with a strong signature.
