Description: This stylized winter landscape is typical of noted Canadian artist Graham Norwell’s adept use of white space. This large watercolor on paper (sight: 18 1/2″ x 24″) is signed lower right: “Norwell”. It is attractively double matted and framed to: 30″ x 35″. Item #FA00397
Graham Noble Norwell (1901-1967) studied art at the Ontario College of Art and in London and Paris (with Augustus John). He is best known for his Quebec, specifically Laurentian, landscapes (winter scenes especially). He exhibited with the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts in 1921-1943 and the Art Association of Montreal in 1922-1943.
Condition: Very good condition, not examined out of frame.
