Description: This one hundred share stock certificate for the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railway Company is issued to John D. Rockefeller and signed on the verso. Signature is witnessed (“In Presence of”) by D. I. Aspell, a clerk who worked for the Standard Oil Co. from 1889 to 1891.

John Davison Rockefeller Sr. (1839-1937), American businessman, concentrated his efforts in oil refining. He founded the Standard Oil Co. in 1870 and went on to become one of the wealthiest Americans of all time.

Condition: Light staining to left edge, generally very good condition with a strong, bold signature.
