Description: This wonderfully detailed engraved map of Ceylon includes two allegorical cartouches and original hand-coloring. The partnership of Reiner and Joshua Ottens published maps and prints from 1726 to 1765 and specialized in reprinting the works of others, e.g. Johannes de Ram (who first published this map) and Guillaume de l’Isle.
