Description: British cartoonist and writer George du Maurier (1834-1896) signed this brief note which reads: “Dear Mr. Osgood Thursday will do very well — even better. Yours truly G. du Maurier”.
George du Maurier is remembered for his contributions to the British weekly magazine, Punch, and his gothic novelĀ Trilby. He is also the grandfather of Dame Daphne du Maurier and the five boys that inspired the stories of Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie.
Written on a 6″ x 4″ sheet of plain stationery. Item #A01716
Condition: Paper separation at edge of fold line repaired with archival tissue/tape on verso, overall toning. Generally good condition.
