Description: This tonally rich dockside image is full of texture – cedar shakes, clapboard, sand, etc. It is signed in graphite lower right: “Stow Wengenroth” and editioned “60” at the lower left.

Stow Wengenroth (1906-1978) is remembered mostly for his highly accomplished lithographs. He was a full member of the National Academy of Design, American Academy of Arts and Letters, and the Prairie Printmakers and his works are in most major art institutions (Library of Congress, Whitney Museum, Metropolitan Museum of Art, etc.)
Condition: Lightly toned at mat opening, scattered foxing on blank margins with a few visible in sky. In need of a new mat. Generally good condition.
