Description: This uncommon exhibition poster was designed by Rauschenberg for an exhibition of his prints at the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo, Japan (Feb. 19 – Apr. 11, 1982). He boldly signed in graphite at the lower right: “Rauschenberg”.

The montage is printed on a sheet of heavy stock paper which measures 31″ x 23″.

Milton Ernest “Robert” Rauschenberg (1925-2008), an American painter, photographer, printmaker and sculptor, is well known for his Combines (1954–1964), a group of artworks which incorporated everyday objects as art materials and which blurred the distinctions between painting and sculpture.

Condition: Short tear at bottom left corner blank margin (reinforced with archival tissue/tape), wrinkling at perimeter edges, generally good condition.
