Description: On October 8, 1970 Isaac Asimov delivered a lecture, "Of Kites and Chlorine", financed by the Hadley Memorial Fund and held at the Kennett Consolidated School. We offer his paycheck ($1000) for this speaking engagement, which he has endorsed in blue ink on verso.

An astoundingly prolific author across many genres, Asimov (1920-1992) is best known for his hard science fiction works. He was also a respected professor of biochemistry at Boston University.
