Description

Description: Apparently in response to a query about who has influenced him the most, E. B. White writes: “Your question seems impossible to answer. A lot of people have influenced me over the past sixty-nine years, and I wouldn’t know how to rate them in order of strength. To single out one would be to do an injustice to the others. Perhaps some individuals can point to someone who has played an overwhelming role in their lives, but I’m afraid I can’t. Sorry not to be able to be of assistance to you.”

This typed letter signed is written on a 10″ x 7″ sheet of New Yorker stationery and dated July 23, 1968. Item# A01911
