Description: Grace Kelly, the Princess of Monaco, boldly signed this 3 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ card printed with the words: “Specimen of the Signature of Her Serene Highness La Princesse de Monaco.” Kelly has signed “Grace de Monaco” in a large, looping hand. Included is the transmittal envelope with a “Centenaire de Monte Carlo 1866-1966”  cancellation stamp.

Grace Kelly (1929-1982) was an American actress who starred in numerous films during the 1950’s. She won the Academy Award for Best Actress in 1954 for her performance in The Country Girl, and is also remembered for starring in three Alfred Hitchcock films: Dial M for Murder (1954), Rear Window (1954), and To Catch a Thief (1955). In 1956 she left Hollywood to marry Rainier III, Prince of Monaco, and spent the rest of her life performing philanthropic work.
