Description: Beloved American artist Norman Rockwell (1894-1978) typed and signed this kind letter to Leonard Lyons, telling him that “I am flattered that you wanted me to autograph my book. I am immensely pleased to be in such a fine collection.”
Rockwell is known for his paintings that reflected scenes from everyday American life and especially for his cover illustrations for the Saturday Evening Post.
Leonard Lyons, (born Leonard Sucher), was an American newspaper columnist famous for winning a Pulitzer Prize from his daily Broadway column in the New York Post titled “The Lyons Den”.
Typed on a 10 ¼” x 7 ¼” sheet of “Stockbridge Massachusetts” imprinted stationery. Item #A00834.
