Description: This perfect example of Grant’s adept abilities to render all things maritime depicts a dock with multiple row boats and sailing vessels. It is signed in graphite lower right and was published in 1945 by The Associated American Artists in an edition of 250.

Gordon Hope Grant (1875-1962) was prolific during his long career, producing designs for WWI posters, book illustrations, magazine covers, Boy Scout Handbooks, maritime watercolors and paintings. He was a member of the Salmagundi Club, American Watercolor Society, Allied Artists of America, Society of Illustrators, etc.
