Description: Founder of the research laboratory of the General Electric Company, Willis R. Whitney (1868-1958), typed and signed this lighthearted letter to his friend, “Mrs. Hull”. He humorously mentions that he is using this reply to her letter as “an excuse for more practice on this machine,” and later he says, “It’s funny how we can learn new stunts even when we are terribly old. I like it.”
