Description: A striking image of three horses and riders essentially silhouetted against the negative space of a meandering river. It is signed and dated in the plate: “Latham 1936″.
Image size 6″ x 8 1/2″ printed on a thin sheet of paper measuring: 9 1/4″ x 12 1/2”. It was published by the American Artist Group (AAG). Item #PR00600
Barbara Latham (1896-1976) artist, illustrator and printmaker, studied at Pratt Institute and the Art Students League. In 1927 she married fellow painter and printmaker Howard Cook and by 1938 they moved permanently to New Mexico where, for the next 35 years, they actively pursued their art careers.
Condition: Light toning, light short wrinkling, generally good condition.
