Description: This scarce cubist-inspired woodcut by Kauffer is editioned, dated and inscribed in graphite at the lower margin: “Woodcut 21/100 – 1919 for William (Yeo) with friendship Ted/E. McKnight Kauffer”.

Edward McKnight Kauffer (1890-1954) is mostly renowned for his graphic design prowess… creating iconic posters for the London Underground, Shell Oil, American Airlines.
