Description

Description: This engraved invitation for the October 7th, 1916 unveiling of the statue of General Philip H. Sheridan at Capitol Park in Albany, New York was issued by the Sheridan Monument Commission of the State of New York. The invitation features a banknote engraved (by Quayle & Son) image of the monument at the upper left corner. The accompanying ticket to the unveiling “Admit[s] the bearer to Reserved Seat, in Capitol Park”.

Invitation measures: 7″ x 10 7/8″. Ticket measures: 3 1/2″  5 1/2″. Item #AM00394

Condition: Light toning at edges of both items, otherwise very good condition.
