Description: This enormous multi-page part-printed document verifies the patent for Zabina Ellis of Philadelphia, PA for her[?] “Improvement in the construction of Boilers for Heating Purposes”. It is signed lower right by W. T. Ott, Acting Secretary of the Interior and D. P. Holloway Commissioner of Patents.

A drawing in color on fine linen is “bound” in with a silk ribbon tie. A full 1 1/2 page handwritten description and testimonial is also attached and signed by the inventor. 20″ x 15″; also included is the original patent agency pouch with a manuscript label of contents. Item #AM00320
