Description: A wonderful presidential campaign poem touting Old Hickory’s (Andrew Jackson) protective nature. “Hurrah for the Hickory tree and down with Harry Clay… this brave young Hickory spreads out its branches wide they’re broad enough to shelter us with Texas on our side.”

This five stanza poem is written on a 15 1/2″ x 6″ sheet of paper. Item #AM00405

Condition: Light dampstain at left edge, fold lines with short edge separations reinforced with archival tissue tape. Generally good condition and quite readable.
