Description: Abraham Ten Broeck signed this manuscript court document on April 4, 1783 in Albany, NY. The document appears to be an itemized invoice listing a number of fees including: “Cryer’s Fee”, “Retaining Fee”, “Making up Record and filing”, etc.
Abraham Ten Broeck (1734-1810) was a businessman, politician, and militia leader. He was an officer during the Revolutionary War and a member of the New York Provincial Congress (1775 and 1777). He served as Mayor of the city of Albany, New York, from 1779-1783 and again from 1796-1798. His home, the Ten Broeck Mansion, is today a historic site and museum.

Condition: Overall staining, offsetting from a newspaper on upper half of paper, right margin chipped and worn, missing a few pieces. Generally fair to good condition, but does have a clear, bold signature. A second Ten Broeck signature at the bottom of the page is partially cut off.
