Description

Description: This fifteenth century illuminated manuscript leaf comes from a Latin Book of Hours. One side of the vellum sheet has fourteen lines of text, the other has fifteen with a vertical catchword. Capital letters are decorated with gold leaf and red and blue ink. The same colors are used to fill in blank areas at the ends of some of the lines.

Condition: Remnants of hinging tape at top edge, staining from removed tape at spine edge, right edge slightly uneven. Generally very good condition with bold colors and bright gilt.
