He managed the Colonial Theatre on Broadway which was briefly renamed Hampden’s Theatre (1925-1931), during which time this play, The Light of Asia, was produced. Hampden also acted in numerous films including the 1954 comedy Sabrina, starring Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart, and William Holden.
