Description: This finely executed bronze captures the joy of a young boy, at cliff’s edge, clutching a small fish. It is signed at the base of the rocks: “V. Cinque.”
It is affixed to its original 9 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ rectangular marble, overall 18 1/2″ high. Item #FA00464
Vincenzo Cinque (1854-1929) attended the Accademia di Belle Art in Naples and later returned as a professor of sculpture. He is considered one of the fathers of Neapolitan sculpture of the early 20th century.
Condition: Slightly rubbed at right elbow, otherwise very good condition with a fine mellow patina.
