March is one of only two actors to have won the Academy Award for Best Actor and the Tony Award for Best Actor in a play twice. He earned his accolades for his performances in the films Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1931) and The Best Years of Our Lives (1946), and the plays Years Ago (1947) and Long Day’s Journey Into Night (1956).
