Description: A lineup of Coney Island employees and a small child are illuminated in the glowing lights of the Red Devil Rider roller coaster in this 1920’s[?] photograph. A sign above their heads reads: “Red Devil Rider Operated by Automatic Elect. Block Signal System for the Safety of the Public.” This roller coaster was in operation from 1907 to circa 1927 and stood in the Bowery area of the amusement park at Coney Island.
4 7/8″ x 7 1/8″. The verso of the stiff mount has an ink stamp for “The Ideal Photo Pub. Co.” of Brooklyn, NY. Item #P00244
