Description: An etching with few lines, but raw power… a cowpoke roping a long horn steer is catapulted off his straining horse. Lower margin is signed in graphite “Henry Ziegler” and below, also in graphite, is the title: “Its a cinch ‘(I’m)’ busted”.

Henry Ziegler (1889-1968) was born in Sherman, Texas, but lived most of his life in New York City. Nevertheless the focus of his prints and paintings was of western life. He studied with W. R. Leigh and Joseph Pennell.

Condition: A spot or two in the blank margins, otherwise very good.
