Description: This late nineteenth century sepia-toned cabinet card features the façade of Jos. Davids & Co. in East Toronto, Canada. Advertisements painted between the windows list some of the products sold by Jos. Davids & Co., like “Perfumery & Toilet Articles,” “Horse & Cattle Medicines,” “Paints, Oils & Varnishes,” and “Pure Drugs and Chemicals.” The address of the building, “171 King St. East Toronto,” is printed on the mount beneath the image, as is the photographer’s information: “F. W. Micklethwaite” whose studio could be found on the corner of King and Jarvis Streets.
